Masthead Studios announces the beginning of the competitive seasons in Guns and Robots
SOFIA, BULGARIA – May 23, 2013 – Masthead Studios, a leading independent game developer, today announced the activation of the leaderboard in their free to play title Guns and Robots.

With the new update Guns and Robots challenges its players to make strategic choices and get to the top of the leaderboards! The new leaderboard shows players’ ranks, avatars, points and levels. The players are able to see their progress and acquire their rightful places with fellow players.
Players will be divided in leagues and will compete against others who share the same league. Players that have been for a while in the game will be displayed immediately in the ladder. For the newcomers their overall progress will be shown after ten played games. The progress will be shown with arrows up and down which point on how well their performance is after each match.

I don’t know if SOE has any plans to capitalize on the wave of Superman hype sweeping the nerdosphere on account of Zack Snyder’s upcoming Man of Steel film. The firm’s DC Universe Online title features the big blue boy scout rather prominently, of course, and the timing seems right if there aren’t a bunch of legal stumbling blocks.
